My Story
"I grew up in Delhi, India, and left at 23 with a dream of building a research career abroad — not knowing many people who had done it before me. I figured it out one step at a time: a Master's in Taiwan, a PhD in Canada, and now working as a scientist in Edmonton. That journey — confusing, exciting, and deeply rewarding — is exactly why I love mentoring students who are trying to do the same."
Teaching Background
"I have been teaching in some form for over 7 years. For 5 years at Queen's University I was a formal Teaching Assistant in the Physics department, guiding 100+ students through labs, exams, and late-night panic sessions before finals. Before that, I taught mathematics and English to school students from Grade 2 through junior high at two schools in Taiwan — which taught me how to explain anything to anyone, regardless of age or background."
As a Scientist
"Alongside teaching, I work as a Nanofabrication Scientist — developing nanomaterials and lithography processes at the cutting edge of nanotechnology. I have published research in journals like Advanced Materials Technologies and ACS Applied Electronic Materials, and have a patent pending. I bring that real-world scientific context into every tutoring session."
